An Introduction of Sorts

I felt the need to start this for my own sake, really. I have always been fascinated with blogs. I have also always been fascinated with Minneapolis. If anyone else finds it interesting, then that makes it all the better.

The corner of Hennepin & Lake keeps my heart safe, and the Skyline takes it out to play.

I still remember the day that I, an innocent suburban girl, was brought Uptown for the first time. A boy, whom I still am awkwardly attached to, took me to Uncommon Grounds. I drank hot mango tea, and they played my favorite David Gray song as we shared kisses in the corner booth.

It changed my life.

Minneapolis and I have grown up together since that chilly day in March 4 years ago, and I want to share my stories and experiences with someone, maybe to prove to myself that they're really happening. If you stumble across this account of my experiences in the city, or if this silly blog somehow becomes well known... know that when I was sitting here typing this first post, I knew nothing of what was to come.

The only thing I know is that it's my city and me against the world... and as I discover it's different corners and fascists, I discover the same in myself.
